Services, Support & Clinics.
There's a wide range of services and clinics around Suffolk. (The
same is probably true if you live outside Suffolk). They can be
split into the types below. Most,
but not all, clinics and services will have a confidentiality policy.
In other words everything is kept strictly private. You can ask
if the service has a confidentiality policy and can use another
if you're not happy.

Genito-Urinary
Medicince (GUM) /Sexual
Health Clinics

Found in larger hospitals.

They will be able to help with pretty much all
Sexual Health issues, from Pregnancy to Sexually Transmitted
Infections.

3C's , Family Planning
Clinics
-
Smaller than GUM clinics and tend to
be easier to get to.

They'll also be less formal than a GUM clinic.

They will be able to help with most issues around
Contraception, Emergency Contraception, Pregnancy Tests
and in some cases minor Sexually Transmitted Infections.

These clinics can also be a really good place
to just get advice and information.

Drop Ins, Outreach and
Visiting Clinics

Generally the most friendly and open
of the services.

They have usually been set up just for young
people.

Staff are chilled and friendly.

They will be able to help with most issues around
Contraception, Emergency Contraception, Pregnancy Tests.

Some are based close to schools and some will take place
on nights in Youth Clubs and community centres.
